The conference Filmtage Globale Perspektiven presents film, web and television productions that deal with development policy issues in the countries of the Global South. These include topics such as globalization, causes of migration and flight, climate change, wars, human rights, gender equality, neo-colonialism and post-colonialism. Production companies, TV editors, distribution companies, film schools and film authors can submit their productions. This includes various cinema, television and web-produced film genres and TV genres of all lengths: Documentaries, feature films, short films, reports and series.

Current films about the political and social effects of globalization, the causes of migration, human rights and gender equality, decolonisation and postcolonialism as well as the effects of climate change are part of the diverse program that the biennial Conference Filmtage Globale Perspektiven presents to an interested public.
Discussions with filmmakers, media representatives and experts after the film screenings offer a unique forum.
The panel War & Peace – Forgotten Regions focuses on film images of crisis regions in the Global South that have fallen out of the media spotlight. The renowned filmmaker Elke Sasse will give a masterclass. A „Global Film Content“ network meeting will bring together people active in cultural film work, media experts and filmmakers working in the Global South. They will meet in the „World Café“ workshop format to develop concepts and strategies for a greater presence of global content in film and television.
Belgian rapper and filmmaker Baloji was honoured with the Global Perspectives Film Award for his feature film OMEN. The award ceremony took place as part of the Global Perspectives Film Festival at the Evangelische Akademie in Frankfurt.
For the first time, the Film Days cooperated with a youth film jury of the German Film and Media Rating (FBW). Three 17-year-olds selected their winner from six nominated feature and documentary films in the run-up to the event and chose the film for the most outstanding artistic achievement. The €1,000 director's prize was donated by Misereor.

So können Sie gezielt nach Filmen für die kulturelle und politische Bildungsarbeit zu Themen des Globalen Südens suchen. Darunter finden sich Spiel- und Dokumentarfilme sowie TV-Dokus und Reportagen aller Längen. Die Kontaktdaten ermöglichen Bildungseinrichtungen und Kinos die Anfrage für die (nicht) gewerbliche Filmarbeit bei den Rechteinhabern in Deutschland, Österreich oder der Schweiz.
